Hailing from Mumbai and moving to America with nearly nothing, Dr. Patel founded NJ Smiles in 2006 after graduating from the NYU College of Dentistry. He grew his expertise to 8 of his own locations across Central and North Jersey before downsizing to focus on incorporating digital dentistry into his placement of implants and restoration of teeth. Dr. Patel has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years and placing implants for over 15 years. Over the course of his life, he has placed over 7,000 implants.
Dr. Patel teaches students and dentists around the world. In 2020, he founded 3D Implant Institute, a leading course in implantology certification. He has taught at numerous universities, colleges, and institutes across America, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Costa Rica, India, and Germany.
Dr. Brian Sokolov, DMD
Master, Biomedical Sciences, dual degree in pharmacology

As a New Jersey native, Dr. Sokolov attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a dual degree to teach. After completing his master’s degree in biomedical sciences, Dr. Sokolov finished his DMD degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ. Dr. Sokolov continued his dental career at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, completing a General Practice Residency. Today, he is with us specializing in TMJ dysfunction, endodontic therapies, dental extractions, and minor surgeries.
